PROOF OF AN AFTERLIFE (AT LEAST FOR PUPPETS)
We made this amazing discovery quite by chance. A ghost puppet, who enjoys tap dancing, lives in the floor above us. By the looks of it, he lived in the 1950s as he appears to be wearing a mobster hat.
Discovering Charlie (for that is his name) was an incredible fluke. We moved into our flat about five months ago. We are in the bottom floor. The one above us is being renovated so it’s empty. We are in one of the oldest areas in Wellington called Aro valley. It is full of character villas that have many stories
Within the first week we began hearing strange tapping noises in the ceiling. We thought it was rats so threw Ponty (our cat) up there through a hole in the kitchen. Ponty was up there for about five hours. We heard a lot of banging and cat roaring. We were a bit worried that Ponty had met her match. She finally came out. She was unhurt but looking somewhat edgy. The house was quiet for a few days but then the tapping started again.
Last night after reading about orbs (White circles captured on a camera that are supposed to be ghosts), I decided to see if my camera was an orb catcher.
I took about three photos out side and to my astonishment I caught Charlie saluting me in the top left window:

Can’t see him? Let me get you a little closer.
If you still can’t see him then I guess you just don’t have the ‘eye’.
We broke in upstairs to see if we could find him, but he was hiding. Some have argued that it is just the light bulb. But I ask them, “Can a light bulb tap dance?”
This, of course, raises many theological questions, such as do tap dancers have souls?
Any more signs of Charlie will be promptly recorded here.
UPDATE: It turns out that Ponty was not unhurt. She was acting weird yesterday and was sore on one back leg. We took her the vet. They discovered a puncture wound that had gone right under the muscle and infected the fat. She has been recovering at the vet for a couple of days now. It will cost about 400 bucks. The vet said that she has never seen a wound like it. I asked her if it could have come from a tap dancers shoe. She didn’t understand the question. I then asked if it could have come from a cane like tap dancers used in the 1950s. She said maybe. Very interesting…
Charlie owes me 400 bucks!
